missingWrote a review on 25 Febgreat beachconvenient parkingoutdated decor
The location is spot-on, right next to great beach access, making it easy to hit the surf or soak up the sun. Parking right outside the room is a nice touch for travelers with a lot of gear.
Rooms feel quite outdated. the decor looks better in photos than in reality. The bunk beds in the twin room aren’t the most comfortable, and the bathroom could use a good scrub. there’s visible mould and other signs of neglect. Thin walls lead to some noise from neighboring rooms, which can disrupt your peace.

Spacious rooms with warm pool
Absolutely loved the spacious family suite I stayed in. it catered perfectly to my needs. The pool was a delightful spot, warm and inviting, and it was great to have access to beach towels and equipment from reception. The location was spot on, just a short walk to the lively town and the beach. One improvement could be the availability of better cooking facilities in the room.

The pool was an inviting oasis for relaxation, perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach.
The room felt quite dated and could use some attention to cleaning, as there were signs of wear and tear.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great bed and convenient parking right outside. I found the security somewhat lacking as the door locks seemed outdated, which caused some concern. it's a decent place for families, but a bit of maintenance would go a long way.

the motel had the nerve to charge for a room with a shower that looked like it needed a benevolent scrub and the 'deluxe' suite had holes in the carpet, absoluteley shameful! I almost wrote a good review but I did expect a complimentary upgrade at least, but no such luck here at Wollongbar.

I stayed there for a family trip, and the pool area was quite spacious, which was a nice spot to relax. It was easy to access the beach through a private gate, making our beach days convenient. the room we had felt a bit outdated and didn't allow much natural light, but the location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions like the Byron Community Market and local eateries.

The food scene around the motel is a culinary wonderland! I devoured some unforgettable pastries at Bay Kebabs and had a taco feast at Miss Margarita. The beach is just a hop away, and staff were supremely helpful, making my stay even sweeter.
Our room was by the road, so expect a little noise from passing traffic. No lift made hauling heavy bags a bit of a workout, but it’s all part of the adventure. Still, those tasty local eats made everything worthwhile!

had a fab time at wollongbar! super easy to walk to the town and the beach is just 50 meters from the back gate. the room was large and comfy, and the pool looked good, tho we didn’t swim cause it was winter. the staff were really nice and helpful, made us feel welcome!
the place was a bit dated and the cleaning could use some work, like the fridge was a lil messy. also, the bathrooms showed signs of wear and could be improved.

The pool was a winner for my kids. they loved splashing around. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the beach and local shops. Enjoying our time at the outdoor pool made it even more relaxing and fun for the whole family.
My wife says that the room could use a deeper clean.
